Our Story

Elisha's version: Nathan is and will always be the most unexpected blessing in my life. My sister, Angie, said I should start online dating because I needed to "put myself out there." Nathan was the first guy that I "matched" with. As it turns out, I was one of the first people Nathan "matched" with, too. It was one of those beautifully timed moments- meant to be. We went on our first date and talked for hours about politics, religion, and our families over craft beer and pizza. I knew I wanted to marry him almost instantly. I can't even remember why, I just suddenly knew.

Nathan's version: So I show up at our first date and I see somebody that looked suspiciously like Elisha leaving the parking lot in her car. At first I was a bit worried I was stood up, but it turned out Elisha just didn't know where to park. And though our first date started off with a bit of anxiety, it turns out I found my wife! Even though I was maybe slower on the upswing than Elisha, I can vividly remember the moment when I knew I was going to spend the rest of my life with her. We went to Harry Potter trivia night every Thursday with some friends in the first few months of our relationship. I remember sitting on the ground after trivia, listening to 90's hip hop, looking over at her next to me, and realizing that this beautiful woman was my soul mate. Turns out, I was right.
